Trust needs a paper trail.

Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Credibility are our framework for presenting accurate information. These are editorial standards, not claims of certification or independent accreditation.

01 / Experience

Describe the actual review performed and its limitations. A completed review should identify its reviewer, date, scope, and evidence. Do not substitute an automated label or promotional wording for a documented review.

02 / Expertise

Use people with relevant subject knowledge to resolve unfamiliar names, terminology, and attribution. Identify contributors when their expertise is relevant and substantiated. Mark machine-assisted translations and uncertain interpretations clearly.

03 / Authoritativeness

Prefer first-party records and attributable statements. Preserve source references and separate a source’s claims from facts independently established by the editorial team. A submission alone does not establish rights or authority.

04 / Credibility

Do not claim that rights, consent, age, or authenticity have been verified without supporting records. Avoid misleading affiliations, fabricated reviews, and unsubstantiated superlatives. Explain paid relationships when they influence editorial material.

Corrections and concerns

Send the page URL, the disputed statement, supporting evidence, and a contact method to support with the subject JavAV — correction. Sensitive safety or rights concerns should use JavAV — urgent concern. We may request enough information to understand the report; do not send identity documents over Telegram.

Changes to these standards

The date on this page records its most recent revision. Material changes to these standards should be explained with the affected wording and the reason for the change.
